Summit Award for Animal Sheltering – Presented to the organization most deserving based on the following criteria:
  • Implementation of programs, codes of conduct and/or best practices that improve levels of care, reduce stress and improve socialization of animals in the shelter.
  • Evidence of merit may include corroborated measurements of these specified improvements; and may also include evidence of peer recognition or evidence of leadership within or beyond the resident community.
  • Organizations within the Animal Welfare or Animal Control sector are eligible for this award.
